Red Cross Blended Learning Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid Training:

This class is required for Leaders, recommended for Co-Leaders.

GSSC is please to announce our partnering with Red Cross to offer the New Blended Learning Training.

The Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid Blended Learning Training will consist of an on-line portion (approximately 2 hours) that must be completed prior to the in-class date for skills assessment, in-class skills assessment will be 2 hours.

You will be sent an email with the hyperlink to the Red Cross Blended Learning after the class is closed for registration.  Note: The course will close 16 business days prior to the in-person skill session date.

For the On-line portion - open the hyperlink then you will create a user name and password.  Please save this information. Red Cross Support or GSSC can not help you if you lose or forget your username and password.  You do not have to complete the on-line portion all at once.  You should logout when you need to walk away, and the program will save where you left off. 

You will need to complete the in-class skills assessment within 30 days of your completions of the on-line portion.  You must send Training@gssc.us a copy of your on-line completion by 9:00 am the business day prior to your schedule in-person skill assessment. Failure to send a copy of the on-line completion will result in you being reschedule to another training and charged a $5.00 Training Service Charge. 

If you do not complete the in-class skill assessment within 30 days, you will have to pay the $45 and take the on-line portion again, giving you another 30 days to complete the in-class assessment. 

Missing your scheduled in-session training will result in no refund/no transfer or credit.  When spots are reserved and participants do not attend the class, they effectively prohibit others from taking the class. 

  • All TROOPS must have a CPR/AED (Adult & Child) and First Aid certified  Adult & who is also register Girl Scout Adult and Background checked with the troop at all times;
  • This Course is open to any GSSC Registered Adult or Register Girl 12 years of age or older.
  • Certifications are valid for two (2) years;
  • Participants MUST arrive on time; You will be turn away from the Skill -Session with no refund/no transfer or credit.
  • All participants are expected to complete all required In-Person Skills to receive certification.  If you feel that you will not be able to perform the skill sets you must contact training@gssc.us immediately to discuss options.  Do not leave this for day of in-person Skill Session, there will be no option but fail you.
  • Please bring a towel or blanket for floor exercises;
  • You may bring snacks 
  • Participant to Instructor ratio 10:1
  • Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate (email) from Red Cross for Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid valid for two years.

Cancellation Policy
Registration Fee and Council Service Fee, if applicable, are NOT REFUNDABLE. 

Last date to drop out without penalty is 48 hours prior to the class close date.  Credit will be applied to future class within the current year.  Transfer or removal must be in writing to training@gssc.us  If cancelled after the 48 hour period - 100% penalty.
