SU 1 – Is addressing the need for baby items like formula and diapers. Supplies will be brought to Long Island Cares emergency shelters
|
SU 3 - The Red Cross is handing out Comfort Kits that SU 3 donated to them. A back-up supply is ready as well. This service unit is also planning additional support for people in need.

SU 4 – Set up a collection site to help the hard-hit areas of Lindenhurst. They collected items such as hot food and coffee, paper goods, cleaning products, baby wipes, batteries, flashlights, gasoline for generators, paper plates and cups.

SU 7 – Hosted a successful food drive at a local Stop and Shop.

|
SU 16 – Troops in SU 16 brought 15 trays of delicious hot food to serve to the Lindenhurst community hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.
|
SU 17 - Armed with large with jugs of coffee, hot chocolate, muffins and donuts, volunteers from this service unit walked through the streets closest to the beach in West Islip. They received a few hugs and were met with a few tears.

SU18 – Hosted a food Drive and made 300 Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches that were dropped off at a center that is taking items out to the Mastic area.
|
SU 40 - Is formulating a plan of action, focusing on the upcoming holidays. They are looking forward to hosting a massive toy collection/drive that aims to have affected families able to come, pick out some items, and wrap them up for the holidays.

SU 46 – An independent Girl Scout in this Service Unit is helping out her hometown of Rockaway by collecting clothing, blankets, sheets, non-perishable foods, baby items, toiletries, cleaning products and much more.
|
SU 59 - Is holding a large “Stuff-A-Truck” food drive at local supermarkets as well as at 7-11 and Walmart. The event will be held simultaneously at the store locations later this month. |
| SU 1 - Donated baby formula, diapers, blankets, and winter coats to GSSC's Hurricane Relief collection site. |
SU 3 - Is preparing Red Cross Emergency Personal Comfort kits. They have donated over 162 kits. They are also collecting coats, gloves, and winter wear. |
