Girl Scouts of Suffolk County, in partnership with United Health Care, recently packed cartons of Girl Scout cookies to send to U.S. military in Afghanistan, as part of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County's Operation: Cookie Campaign. Postage for the shipment of cookies is sponsored by United Health Care.

In addition to packing cartons of Girl Scout cookies, Girl Scouts from Suffolk County created hand-made greeting cards that were sent with the shipment.

Operation: Cookie would not be possible without the generous support of our community. Special thanks to all those who were on hand help pack the cartons of Girl Scout cookies including United Health Care personnel,  U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force personnel, the Marine Corps League - Huntington Detachment, Hall-Lane Moving & Storage Co., State Senator Lee Zeldin, Suffolk County Legislator John Kennedy, Jr., and Suffolk County Girl Scouts.
